Wayne's too tall for this little alcove - but he didn't mind.
Jim had the camera...well Doh!
Jim got closer and laid down on a rock for this shot...we knew he didn't want to get up...too much fun the night before.
I talked Jim into this little niche.
Then I asked him to give me a 'growly face'! Agghhhh! There it is!
The sandstone scultpures are as impressive here as in Red Rock, the Bowl of Fire at Lake Mead, and Calico Basin.
We are going to climb this to stare at and photograph petroglyphs that are around 4,000 years old.
Plexiglass protects the petroglyphs at the top of the stairs. These pictures are taken through the rails and over the glass.
This is at the base of the stairs.
Jim and Wayne are flexing - we are in one of the Natural Arches.
The previous picture is taken in the arch on the left.
A description of nature and the natural arch.
Fenced off for protection, petrified tree.
The first petroglyph siting in The Mouse's Tank.
Wayne and me. Photo courtesy of Jim but he forgot to tell me to suck my stomach up...they did it in all the other photos.
Wayne standing under a 'Starcraft' sculpted by nature.
A full wall of petroglyphs, hard to reach and hard to photograph unless I stood on the ridge.
Erosion has taken away most of the pictures in this rock.
Interesting that the hands pictured here signify death.
The first petgroglyph I've seen that signifies a deer or elk.
The horned person is a Shaman.
Wayne is surrounded by petroglyphs. A horseshoe effect and even one over his head
Mouse's Tank. A reservoir of water - almost 15 feet deep.
All those work outs paid off.

The silica dome needs to be explored...another trip - another time!
