Ice Box Canyon at Red Rock Jack and Linda headed into Red Rock a few minutes before 6 a.m. This picture was taken in the beginning of the trip - a small canyon to the left of the trail - fall colors are showing in the trees.
About half way into the trip, the canyon wall on the right shows the markings of a water run.
They found this rock in the canyon floor which they believe is fossilized crustaceans.
The end of the canyon is a huge amphitheater of stone...this has an upper level, (where the gold/yellow is on the left). This is approximately 70 feet high overall and the picture really doesn't do it justice. We wanted to climb up into it but weren't properly equipped...another time.
