There are numerous mine tunnels and short digs throughout Lovell Wash. This particular mine shaft is on the right hand wall, just before entering the Narrows. There are three mine shafts in the section but this one is the only one that has any depth.
Agent Ink ran into the shaft, ahead of ElyJon, and disappeared into the darkness. A bit later, he high tailed it back out and waited outside the shaft for ElyJon to reappear. His watch was diligent and steadfast, never wavering from duty and protecting those he traveled with.

ElyJon talks about the mine shaft and what he found. He reported that it went back, into the side of the wash, for some distance and held two different doors, one was closed, which he opened and walked through, another that was open. He believes there is an opening, somewhere further down the tunnel, that enters into open air or another shaft. Another day of exploration on the horizon...espionage...secrets that cannot be shared. Agent Ink and Winehead were impressed.
